Between tuesday 1st and saturday the 5th of June 2004, the first edition of Afrika Keur festival is to take over Dakar, Senegal.
The Festival International Francophone d’Humour et de Musique de Dakar (International Francophone festival of humour and music in Dakar) is planned to be an annual event to boost the cultural life and tourism in Dakar.

The Afrika Keur schedule includes a number of hip hop artists from Senegal and France, including Pee Froiss, Nix, Big D, Nigger L’s, Akiboulane, Neg’Marron, Pit Baccardi, Tonnton David, Nuttea and Kerry James. In addition, a number of young artists who have been selected through a competition run on radio and television will present themselves on stage. The winners include Suprem Kaddu Magg and Gokh Bi Sistem.

The concerts will take place in different venues across Dakar. Generated income will be donated to local development organizations working with street kids and health educational programs.

4th June CCF (French Cultural Center), 20.30 hrs, entrance 5000 CFA
